There are quite a few gem mines for you to mine rubies and other minerals and crystals. There are many great things to do in the area, including: Little Tennessee River: unparalleled wade fishing opportunities, smallmouth action, and breathtaking scenery. The river is also great for canoeing and tubing. Chunky Gal Stables: enjoy guided horseback excursions through clean and scenic forest service trails at these stables that also offers horse training services, riding lessons, and short and long term boarding. Andy's Trout Farm: on 325 acres of scenic mountain land, this trout farm offers a great place to get away and enjoy nature and fishing. Rufus Morgan Trail: This easy one mile loop trail passes through a cove hardwood stand, goes past a beautiful waterfall, and continues through a timber harvest unit.
